Acmena smithii ‘Cherry Surprise’ – Lilly Pilly

 

Lilly pilly ‘Cherry Surprise’ is a compact, small shrub with bright red new foliage growth which matures to deep green. An easy care plant that responds well to pruning, making it good for hedges and topiary work. It grows to around 3 metres high and a metre and a half wide, and can be pruned to a smaller size. Tolerates a wide range of soils, but prefers a moist well drained soil in a sunny to semi shaded position. Rarely troubled by pests or diseases, is psyllid resistant.
