This dwarf selection of the Tassel Cord Rush is a wonderful low-maintenance plant which was developed for it’s compact size and fantastic ornamental foliage. An ideal plant for landscape and garden use, it performs best in moist soils near water features and ponds but also adapts to growing in containers for patios and smaller areas. In containers or drier areas it performs best in partial to full shade with regular watering. Flowers in late Spring to Summer, producing understated small brown flowers along the tips of the stems which accent the lush green of the tall foliage. The foliage and flower stems are great for floral arrangements, and if left on the plant the seeds produced when the flowers finishes provide a great food source to attract native finches and other small birds.
