This easy care and fast growing large shrub makes a great colour contrast plant. It has feathery silver-grey bipinnate foliage which features striking purple new growth for most of the year. In spring it is graced with masses of spherical golden yellow flower heads 1 cm in diameter. Best in a sunny position in well drained soils. A good waterwise plant, but can be short lived, usually lasting ten to fifteen years.
