A large shrub to small tree with large glossy dark green leaves with a light green reverse with reddish new foliage during the warmer months of the year. Outstanding terminal display of large red flowers which are nectar rich, attracting hordes of birds at flowering time. Prefers a well drained soil in a sunny position.

Note– this plant produces large gumnuts which can be a slipping and tripping hazard when they drop
