A small shrub with soft grey-green foliage and a sprinkling of mauve flowers for most of the year. Attractive as a specimen or flowering container plant; ideal for formal and informal hedging and screening, and for topiary work. Grows in a wide range of soils, and is well suited to coastal positions, as it is very salt tolerant and can withstand strong winds.
