A fast growing and free flowering annual to biennial plant from Western Australia with lovely heads of blue flowers on long stems in October to January. It adapts readily to cultivation to give a splash of colour in flower beds. It likes freely draining acidic, neutral to slightly alkaline soils. Good in full sun to semi shaded sites. Young plants need regular soil moisture in order to achieve good growth for flowering, tolerant of dry spells and light frosts once established. Heavier frost will knock the plant down. Tip pruning the plant when young will encourage more flower heads and produce a bushier plant. The blooms make good long lasting cut flowers. Will self seed in the garden.
