This species is a dwarf or small shrub with dense ornamental golden flowers from winter through to spring. Acacia lasiocarpa needs a medium to well drained soil and can grow in conditions from light shade to full sun. It can grow happily in coastal dune environments, as this is one of its native habitats in Western Australia.
