This native hibiscus comes from south east Western Australia and South Australia, and has yellow, pink and mauve forms. The leaves are thin and needle-like which help it to cope with desert conditions. Good in cool to warm temperate and mediterranean climates. It will resent too much humidity, and is best in well drained soils and a sunny spot. It flowers abundantly from summer to autumn, with large tulip shaped flowers. Tolerates mild frost.
