A perennial plant which has an underground rhizome, fine silvery grey woolly leaves, and golden globe flowers on tall and stout stalks. Flowering from spring to summer, the blooms are superb cut flowers and for drying. Drought tolerant but perform best on a moist and well drained soil, in sun to part shade. Frost hardy, and can be used in coastal gardens and for heavy soils. This plant used to be known as Craspedia globosa.

SEED SOWING – Sow direct where they are to grow or in pots, using a good quality seed raising mix. Only just cover the seed with soil, they are not to be planted too deeply. Keep moist but not wet until germination. Germination is in 14 to 21 days. In warmer climates they can be sown in spring, summer and autumn. In cooler areas sow spring to late summer.
