Everlasting Daisy Seeds – Rhodanthe chlorocephala
*** Approximately 300 seeds per packet ***
This annual everlasting daisy is superb for creating native wildflower meadow effects, and has flowers which range from pure white to deep pink, with contrasting bright yellow or deep black centres. Each stem is topped with a flower, and pinching out will encourage more stems and thus flowers. Grows and flowers best in sandy open soil in sun to part shade. Can be used for floristry work, and can be dried. Pick in bud and hang upside down and they will open as they dry and keep their colour. Feed with a good native fertiliser and water in dry weather. Cut back old flowers and they plant will reshoot and flower again.
SEED SOWING – Plant seed from autumn to spring, either direct where they are to grow or in pots or punnets. They will germinate in two to three weeks and flower from ten to twelve weeks after they spring up. Protect seedlings from slugs and snails and rabbits.
The Gardening With Angus seed range is a mix of species that are either wild sourced from licensed harvesters or superior species selections grown in cultivation. The seeds are thoroughly tested for quality, viability & germination. They are meticulously cleaned followed by oxygen deprivation storage, before being sealed for freshness within a heat sealed seed sachet.
