$7.95
*** Approximately 20 seeds per packet ***
A hardy evergreen climber featuring unusual and eye catching large yellow and black pea-shaped flowers, amongst rounded deep green leaves. Prefers full sun (can grow in part shade) and tolerates a range of soils, growing vigorously in all but wet sites. Can also be used as a groundcover, and will grow in coastal areas. Tolerates drought and light frost.
SEED SOWING – seed can be sown most of the year in many parts of Australia, in temperate climates sow in spring or autumn. The seed has a hard coating – place seed in a container and pour boiling water over then leave overnight to soak in the water. Viable seeds will swell and can be then planted, any seeds that have not swollen can be soaked again in boiling water. Sow seed in good quality seed raising mix and cover with 3cms of soil. Germination will be in 10 to 21 days, but some seed can take longer than this so don’t discard any slow to germinate seeds.
The Gardening With Angus seed range is a mix of species that are either wild sourced from licensed harvesters or superior species selections grown in cultivation. The seeds are thoroughly tested for quality, viability & germination. They are meticulously cleaned followed by oxygen deprivation storage, before being sealed for freshness within a heat sealed seed sachet.
